On the last Monday of every month, I'll be sharing a super easy tutorial designed to make life easier while using materials you probably already have. Leather Coasters

Mandi over at Vintage Revivals has ignited a leather obsession within many of her readers, and I for one am happy to further the trend. This tutorial is one of the simplest I've ever done, and can be taken in soooo many directions. I'm currently working on a brown leather southwestern patterned set as a gift, because, really, who doesn't love leather and need coasters? 

A Few Blog Design Tips & Tricks

Hello everyone! So today I want to take a moment to blog about...blogging. Over the last few weeks, I've spent a LOT of time learning about my template and how to change things. First lesson: HTML is freakin complicated. Second lesson: There's usually an easier way to do things. I've found simple solutions to some of my biggest questions, and decided to share them here with you in an effort to promote fabulous blogging.

West Elm Knock-off Jewelry Box

I fell in love with this mosaic patterned jewelry box from West Elm - the pattern, the colors…the whole thing is just awesome. My version cost about $11, which is definitely a much happier price than the original featured. Plus, you can customize the pattern with absolutely any color, making a fun and totally "you" one-of-a-kind piece. Happy crafting!

Glitter Terra Cotta Pots

I've done posts using glitter in the past, including glitter phone chargers and even a glitter project round-up, but today it's time to take the sparkle to the great outdoors! err, well, at least as far as your windowsill. These glitter terra cotta pots are super duper easy and just as cute - they'd make great gifts and party favors...IF you can bear to part with them that is. Happy crafting!

Vertical Succulent Planter

A few weeks ago I shared a round-up of awesome succulent projects with the promise that I'd get to my own tutorials asap. I'm super excited to share the first - a vertical (hanging) planter! It's insanely easy to put together, and much faster than the many other tutorials that have you building your own frames and boxes. At the end I've included a photo guide to the succulents I used. A Little Financial Advice for My Fellow Students

Today I’d like to take a moment to talk about something that is near and dear to my heart: money. Nah, I’m just kidding with you all, but I do want to share a bit of hard-learned knowledge about how to finance your educational/career dreams with what is (basically) free money.

Aurèlie Bidermann Look-alike Bracelet

While doing a little online shopping for things I won’t be able to afford for at least the next ten years, I came across this lovely bracelet (pictured below) that I absolutely had to have. The problem is it costs about a quarter’s worth of textbooks. Or 81 grande caramel frappucinos. Yeah no thanks – I’ll take the coffee.

Butterfly Wall Decor

Winter is, as always, dragging on, and I thought it would be fun to bring a little spring into your lives this week. I originally made these 3D butterflies to decorate my college dorm room, but I think they’d look equally cute in a nursery, little girl’s room, or kitchen. They can even be ramped up for an office space or adult bedroom by using solid greys, blues, purples, and metallic silvers.

Glitter Phone Charger

In an effort to satisfy my love for glitter, this week’s tutorial will be on glitter phone chargers!  I’m in love with all things glitter, and while I know there are already several videos and blogs online, I wanted to take things one step further by incorporating a few of the currently trending patterns. In the post that follows, I’ll show you have to do chevron and ombre patterned glitter chargers, and at the end, you’ll be given the opportunity to win a Phillip Lim inspired micro usb charger made by yours truly. Valentine's Day Cards

I love the entire institution of Valentine’s Day, and while I usually give out some type of candy, I also like to have something sweetly homemade on hand for my family and friends who are avoiding sugar. Once you’ve got the process down, it’ll only take a few minutes to whip out each card, and the time spent will be well worth the results. Happy Valentine’s Day!
