These recipes are great because they’re super simple and nearly impossible to mess up. You can exchange the primary ingredients (berries, chocolate, and extracts) for whatever you have on hand, and easily change the consistencies to suit your needs.

Doughnuts. Donuts. Either way, they're delicious. Today I'm sharing a fun and *fairly* easy recipe that's been modified from Martha Stewart's original. Because her version was good, but, let's be realistic - who's going to check the temp of their water, refrigerate overnight, and get up early only to wait 3-4 hours? Yeah, I didn't think so.

The Patriotic Summer Blog Hop: Homemade Marshmallows

When I think of celebrating American patriotic holidays, I think outdoors, barbeques, and bonfires. And of course, with bonfires, come S'mores. I'm not sure how many of you have tried S'mores with homemade marshmallows, but you have not lived. I can promise that after this, you won’t want them any other way. This marshmallow recipe is great because it's super easy. It's been slightly adapted from Alton Brown's marshmallow recipe, and I've included some tips and tricks that I've learned through experience. Happy baking!

A Break and Stuff

As many of you have probably noticed, I've been on a bit of a break since Anthro Week. That event wore me out! Plus, you know, there's been work and the end of the semester and just life in general. My project today is this simple rustic hanging planter. I love that it's both suspended from the wall and composed of multiple pots. I stuck with the original four pot design, but don't be afraid to mix it up a little. At the end of my tutorial, you can find photos and links for our other 4 bloggers' projects. 

Copper Plated Serving Set : Anthro Knock-off Week Day 2

Today I'm taking Anthro Knock-off Week into the kitchen with these fun plated serving utensils. Who doesn't need a little sparkle and shine in their life? I know I do! 

As a side note, the last Monday of the month is usually supposed to be a post in the 5-minute Series. Since Anthro Week overlapped, it will resume next month!

6 Months of Blogging

Today marks my sixth month of blogging, which is supremely exciting. Yay! Below I've compiled a list of some of my favorite moments as a new blogger, including some of my most popular posts, and what I hope to accomplish in the next six months. 

Abstract Cork Board

The on-campus apartment I was assigned my second year of college didn’t have a built in cork-board as per usual, and I was desperate to decorate my walls. My magical/beautiful/unicorn mother came up with this amazing solution, and I’ve used it ever since. It’s the perfect combination of abstract art and useful practicality, and can be dressed up – or down – any number of ways. Happy decorating!

Side note: Please forgive the horrible photography. I've been sick, okay? 

Anthro Knock-off Week is coming soon!

You. Guys. I have the announcement of the century. I can't even. 

I'm so so so excited to tell you all that I've teamed up with a group of super talented bloggers to bring you Anthropologie Knock-off Week. "What's that" you ask? Yeah, it's what you think it is. Every day during the last week of April, each blog will be bringing you a brand new Anthro Knock-off tutorial. "Say what? Like, everyday?" Yeah, every day. That's 5 daily   tutorials chalk full of awesome sauce and gleaming with creativity. Is that even possible? I'm not 100 percent, but based on the sneak peeks I've been seeing, I think yes. Get excited! We'll also have a pinterest board where you can see the inspiration with every final project all in one place, and on the very last day (Saturday) we'll be having a themed link party.

Infinity Scarf

Hey guys! As you may have figured out, I'm starting a new DIY series! On the last Monday of every month, I'll be sharing a super easy tutorial designed to make life easier while using materials you probably already have. They may not be the most ingenuous tutorials, but they'll hopefully provide you with a little inspiration. This month's project is:

Leather Coasters

Mandi over at Vintage Revivals has ignited a leather obsession within many of her readers, and I for one am happy to further the trend. This tutorial is one of the simplest I've ever done, and can be taken in soooo many directions. I'm currently working on a brown leather southwestern patterned set as a gift, because, really, who doesn't love leather and need coasters? 

A Few Blog Design Tips & Tricks

Hello everyone! So today I want to take a moment to blog about...blogging. Over the last few weeks, I've spent a LOT of time learning about my template and how to change things. First lesson: HTML is freakin complicated. Second lesson: There's usually an easier way to do things. I've found simple solutions to some of my biggest questions, and decided to share them here with you in an effort to promote fabulous blogging.

West Elm Knock-off Jewelry Box

I fell in love with this mosaic patterned jewelry box from West Elm - the pattern, the colors…the whole thing is just awesome. My version cost about $11, which is definitely a much happier price than the original featured. Plus, you can customize the pattern with absolutely any color, making a fun and totally "you" one-of-a-kind piece. Happy crafting!

Glitter Terra Cotta Pots

I've done posts using glitter in the past, including glitter phone chargers and even a glitter project round-up, but today it's time to take the sparkle to the great outdoors! err, well, at least as far as your windowsill. These glitter terra cotta pots are super duper easy and just as cute - they'd make great gifts and party favors...IF you can bear to part with them that is. Happy crafting!

Vertical Succulent Planter

A few weeks ago I shared a round-up of awesome succulent projects with the promise that I'd get to my own tutorials asap. I'm super excited to share the first - a vertical (hanging) planter! It's insanely easy to put together, and much faster than the many other tutorials that have you building your own frames and boxes. At the end I've included a photo guide to the succulents I used. A Little Financial Advice for My Fellow Students

Today I’d like to take a moment to talk about something that is near and dear to my heart: money. Nah, I’m just kidding with you all, but I do want to share a bit of hard-learned knowledge about how to finance your educational/career dreams with what is (basically) free money.

Aurèlie Bidermann Look-alike Bracelet

While doing a little online shopping for things I won’t be able to afford for at least the next ten years, I came across this lovely bracelet (pictured below) that I absolutely had to have. The problem is it costs about a quarter’s worth of textbooks. Or 81 grande caramel frappucinos. Yeah no thanks – I’ll take the coffee.

Butterfly Wall Decor

Winter is, as always, dragging on, and I thought it would be fun to bring a little spring into your lives this week. I originally made these 3D butterflies to decorate my college dorm room, but I think they’d look equally cute in a nursery, little girl’s room, or kitchen. They can even be ramped up for an office space or adult bedroom by using solid greys, blues, purples, and metallic silvers.

As anyone who has followed me on Pinterest is beginning to discover, I love succulents (which may actually be an understatement). In an effort to satisfy my love for glitter, this week’s tutorial will be on glitter phone chargers!  I’m in love with all things glitter, and while I know there are already several videos and blogs online, I wanted to take things one step further by incorporating a few of the currently trending patterns. In the post that follows, I’ll show you have to do chevron and ombre patterned glitter chargers, and at the end, you’ll be given the opportunity to win a Phillip Lim inspired micro usb charger made by yours truly. Valentine's Day Cards

I love the entire institution of Valentine’s Day, and while I usually give out some type of candy, I also like to have something sweetly homemade on hand for my family and friends who are avoiding sugar. Once you’ve got the process down, it’ll only take a few minutes to whip out each card, and the time spent will be well worth the results. Happy Valentine’s Day!
